Principal Product Engineer

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Principal Product Engineer — a seasoned full-stack builder with the product sense and business judgment to help define where Bigspin goes. This is an early, high-impact role: you’ll be one of the first engineers shaping not only the product but also the culture, the way we work with customers, and how we scale.

It’s a mix of engineering rigor, product creativity, and customer engagement. You’ll build, ship, and own major product surfaces end-to-end, partner directly with users to understand their needs (even the unstated ones), and use your business awareness to help steer the product in the right direction.

What you'll build + own‍

• Full-stack ownership: Design, build, and ship features across our stack (Next.js, React/TS, Tailwind, Supabase, AWS, Vercel).

• P‍roduct leadership: Partner with design, founders, and customers to spot opportunities, refine workflows, and shape the roadmap.

• Pragmatic execution: Make sound trade-offs—moving fast while building a foundation we can trust.

• Customer engagement: Work directly with users to uncover needs, prototype solutions, and guide them toward high-value outcomes.

• Strong full-stack engineering experience (React/TS, Next.js, APIs, databases, cloud).

• Proven track record of shipping production applications end-to-end.

• Comfort working directly with customers; clear communicator in technical and strategic conversations.

• Pragmatic mindset with the judgment to balance speed and sustainability.

• Thrives in ambiguity; energized by a startup environment where you’ll wear multiple hats.

• Phenomenal product sense—you think about the “why” and not just the “how.”
